Petrofac is a leading oil and gas provider with more than 8,000 employees in over 30 countries. Since it was founded 40 years ago, Petrofac has acquired roughly 4,000 software applications, including bespoke developments and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software.
They had a large disparity in quality between these apps, as well as problems with overlapping functions, inefficient use of resources and security concerns.
